Storyboard

For this project, I wanted to be more intentional when it came to storytelling so I made a storyboard. I know… The drawings aren’t the most magnificent thing you’ve seen, but it does the job.

Before, I was very self-conscious about my drawings. After watching Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite, I learned that he didn’t have the most extraordinary drawing ability, but he didn’t let that stop him. Instead, he used it as a tool to communicate what he was envisioning.

These are some pictures taken from his storyboard. After watching Parasite, I got really inspired by it and I got this book from Amazon. If anyone’s interested, here’s the link to the book. It’s a book that I would definitely recommend to another artist who wants to know more about bringing a story from fantasy to reality. I know that for me, I struggle to bring things into reality from my mind, and getting this book helped me realize that I just have to keep on trying and get past the self-limitations I put on myself. Excuses like, “I’m not good at drawing.” When it comes down to it. All that matters is about being able to communicate your ideas with your team.
